Waitlist privacy

This page is only about the form on this site — what happens to the name, email, and WhatsApp number you leave so we can tell you when the beta opens. The app has its own privacy policy, separate from this one.

Last updated August 2026.

This English text is a courtesy translation. Laços is run from Brazil and your data is processed there, so Brazilian data protection law (the LGPD) governs it. The binding version of this notice is the Portuguese one. Wherever you're writing from, the rights below are honoured the same way.

1. What we collect

Only what's in the form: your name (what you want to be called), your email, and your WhatsApp number. We store the date and time you sent it and which part of the page it came from, alongside.

We don't ask for an ID, a photo, or a date of birth at this stage. That only happens inside the app, later, and it's covered by the app's own policy.

Gender identity is never asked for at any stage — not here, not in the app. Everyone here is a sapphic woman, and the field simply doesn't exist.

2. What we use it for

One thing: telling you when your beta batch opens, by WhatsApp or email. We don't use this data for advertising, we don't build a behavioural profile, and we don't send a newsletter about anything else.

The legal basis is your consent (art. 7, I of the LGPD), given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing costs you nothing and changes nothing else.

3. Where it goes

Your entry becomes an email notification to contato@lacos.love, sent through Resend, and a single line stored on this site's server. Nothing is published, nothing shows up on a public list, and we don't sell or hand this data to third parties.

The only third parties involved are the company that sends the email and the one that hosts the site (which also does the audience counting described in item 5) — both acting as processors, with no permission to use your data on their own account.

4. How long we keep it

Until the beta period ends, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. After launch, anyone who didn't become a user has their entry erased.

5. We measure audience, not people

To know how many people reach this site and through which pages, we use Vercel Web Analytics, from the company that hosts it. It records the page visited, where the visit came from, the country, and the device or browser type — always as aggregate numbers.

It doesn't use cookies, which is why you see no cookie banner on this site. It doesn't identify you, doesn't follow you off this site, and doesn't feed any advertising profile.

There's no Google Analytics, no social network pixel, no heatmap, no ad cookie. Beyond that counting, the only information that leaves your browser is what you type into the form and send.

6. Your rights

Under the LGPD you have the right to confirm that processing is happening, to access your data, to correct it, to ask for anonymisation or deletion, to know who it was shared with, and to withdraw your consent. To exercise any of them, write to contato@lacos.love — we answer within the legal deadline, and deletion is done without asking you to justify it.

7. Changes

If this text changes, the date at the top changes with it. Any change that affects how your data is used gets emailed to everyone on the list.
